Last month Via ID organized, in collaboration with Agorize, the Asia Mobility Startup Challenge to find the nuggets of mobility in Southeast Asia, India and Australia. On this occasion, a call for projects was launched during spring 2019 to discover ever more innovative projects that meet the challenges of tomorrow’s urban transport.

After receiving more than 110 applications from 18 countries, the winner has been unveiled during the Innovfest Unbound conference in Singapore, which this year brought together more than 18,000 delegates, more than 400 speakers and 22 content tracks. Singapore, a true mobility ecosystem and at the forefront of technology on the smart city is the ideal city to find the nuggets of tomorrow.

The challenge

In 2 months, 118 startups from 14 countries have submitted their application to the challenge. These startups had to answer to one of our 4 key themes.

The top 6 startups presented their project on June 27th at the Grand Final in Singapore and had the opportunity to exhibit at our Via ID pavilion at the Innovfest Unbound.

The big winner : Liftango

Liftango is an on-demand and shared mobility technology company that solves commute problems for cities, organizations and fleet operators.

The startup will be able to benefit from privileged meetings with the partners of the challenge and a mentoring to perfect its strategy thanks to a mentoring of Via ID and partners specialized in the mobility.

This beautiful event ended with a cocktail gathering winning startups, jury members and company representatives such as Porsche, French Tech, Hera Capital, Lufthansa Innovation, Goldbell Mobility, ZTP China and AXA.
