3 months after the launch of the 2nd edition of the European Startup Prize for mobility, we finally know the 50 finalists!
This Europe-wide award, co-founded by Via ID and the Boston Consulting Group, is a major public-private initiative launched by Karima Delli, President of the Transport and Tourism Committee of the European Parliament.
The 150 startups in the competition were each evaluated by mobility experts on economic, innovation, ecological and related criteria, the composition of the management team and the European vision of the project.
The jury selected a TOP50 covering a wide range of topics: urban, long and medium distance mobility, public transport, infrastructure, logistics, energy, navigation, data, vehicles and autonomous driving.
The 2nd edition stands out for a clear progression in the maturity of the candidates
B2B models are also highly represented with 83% of all applications received.
French startups are strongly represented in the TOP50 with 17 finalists bringing innovations in all the main areas of mobility: energy saving solutions for the aviation sector, urban transport services by electric scooters, navigation systems for cyclists, etc.
Congratulations to the 50 finalists!
We are launching today a big citizen vote on facebook so the public can choose one of the 10 winners. To vote, users must go to the facebook page of the Prize and assign a like to the video of their favorite project.
The winner of the citizen vote will be joined by 9 winners chosen by a jury of experts. Finally, an exceptional panel of leading European personalities from the mobility sector will reward 4 “super winners” at the award ceremony on 11 April in Brussels.
These 10 winners will benefit from a European acceleration program including an all-expenses-paid European tour of 5 major technology hubs to meet investors and future customers:
