Following the opening of the San Francisco office in 2016 and 3 investments in American start-ups in 2017 (Swiftly, Migo et Spotangels), Vi ID is continuing its expansion overseas by opening an office in Singapore.
A forward-looking city-state in terms of new mobility and the Smart City, Singapore will be a springboard for Via ID for undertaking its missions in Asia, namely:
– Developing strategic monitoring in terms of innovation, new mobility and the Smart City
– Promoting its deal-flow and investing in promising start-ups which complement those already in the portfolio
– Facilitating the development of start-ups in Via ID’s Asian portfolio
– Consolidating its role as ‘connector’ by establishing partnerships with local public and private stakeholders (major groups, investors, territories)
To support its launch, Via ID is joining forces with Hera Capital, a Singapore-based company with expertise in investment capital. Hera Capital will support Via ID in Asia by sharing its deal flow, local expertise and extensive networks in the region, but also by co-investing in start-ups.
Via ID has appointed Quentin Vanoekel to manage the Singapore Via ID office. Quentin is 32 and has worked in south-east Asia for 10 years. He has more than 6 years’ experience in private investment in Indonesia.
