Reparcar – startup dedicated to the sale of used car parts for individuals and professionals – has raised €2 million from Via ID, BPIFrance and its Business Angels, including entrepreneur Alain Weill (RMC and BFMTV)

Reparcar: The used car parts specialist

In March 2017, Stéphane Brault-Scaillet and Alexandre Gauthier – childhood friends – founded RESTARTECO SAS with the ambition to make used car parts accessible to all. By the end of 2018, the two entrepreneurs created – the automotive circular economy marketplace dedicated to professionals and individuals – thus reducing the repair cost of vehicles over 5 years old, and simplifying the online purchase of used car parts.

In short, Reparcar is:

A solution recognized as an innovative one by BPI and France Digital, with an average monthly growth of 15%.

More than 1,000 garage customers.

More than 200 000 unique visitors per month.

More than 25 dismantling centers in France, including 4 of the largest in France, and on average 1 new dismantling center partner per month.

A 48 hours delivery time.

A very high satisfaction rate with a Net Promoter Score of 68.

Its merchants are selected according to detailed specifications including used parts control, a 6 months guarantee (at least), and shipping within 24 hours.

The startup has developed, in only 2 years, several innovative solutions – making the search for a used part online as easy as the search for a new part – such as the search by license plate on the used part, as well as an AI that indicates if the part is compatible with the user’s vehicle. In addition, its algorithm displays the best offer based on the seller’s rating, price, condition and mileage of the part.

“Driven by the energy transition law, the anti-waste law and more globally by the general awareness of buying useful, the term “sustainability” is now at the heart of all manufacturers’ strategy. ReparCar wants to be a TechForGood impact company, and as a specialized marketplace, to be the business facilitator to connect all automotive circular economy actors.

Currently incubated in the Moove lab – at Station F – we are meeting the various automotive sector players through the CNPA and Via ID, to provide the most suitable B2B solutions for their needs. As a Young Innovative Company, it’s up to us to bring solutions to the players in the sector”.

A fundraise to boost the used car parts market

Reparcar, whose ambition is to become the leading player in the used car parts market, is closing a financing round that will enable the startup to:

Strengthen its product, marketing and technical teams;

Optimize its demand matching algorithm;

Challenge its product and UX to facilitate the user experience;

Expand its merchants network in France and abroad, and provide them with new services.

“ReparCar gives a new dimension to the used spare parts market, which until now was mainly organized by local players, and poorly digitized. Thanks to its innovative approach, this impactful startup puts its technology at the service of the players in the reconditioning and revaluation of used parts. Via ID is proud to support ReparCar in its development as they have all it takes to become the reference player in the used and reconditioned car parts market. “
