Despite challenging market conditions globally, Europe is doing quite well, some regions (CEE and Southern Europe) are even performing better than ever.
Venture capital and corporate venture in European mobility
Total amount invested in European mobility tech startups reached $5.7B in H1’22. It’s a 36% drop YoY. CVCs account for only 15% of total invested, but are involved in 5 out of the 10 biggest deals: these players are more focused.
Regional and sector analysis
Globally, share of venture capital in European mobility startups reached its highest level ever, when it comes to seed-stage investments. Sector-wise, logistics and delivery, mobility platforms and vehicle marketplaces were the hot topics of the period.
Another super interesting sector to be scrutinized is used-cars marketplaces: the market conditions was quite difficult for them. In the meantime, Urban Air Mobility in Europe is getting more and more solid, thanks to the development of the European ecosystem and private funding.
