GOMECANO, a French startup that offers on-site car repair services, raises €2 million from Via ID – Mobivia’s investment fund and business accelerator – to accelerate its national deployment and strengthen its position as the leader in home car maintenance and repair.

Founded in 2017 by Alexandre Nivesse – CEO – and Mathias Boutsen – COO, GOMECANO is a French startup that offers a mobile car mechanic service, at home or at the workplace, in multiple cities in France.

What is the startup goal?
Become one of the French favorite brands in the field of car maintenance and repair. How? GOMECANO wants to:
- Strengthen its network in areas where it is already present (PACA, Haut-de-France, Ile de France, Lyon and Bordeaux)
- Extend its solution to all motorists throughout France, while maintaining an affordable price.
- Increase the range of services offered to its customers in order to cover 100% of their needs.
- Consolidate and develop its B2B offer, particularly with fleet managers, professional rental companies and new electric car manufacturers such as Aiways, Moke and Biro.
This fundraising will allow us to extend our offer to a wider audience while maintaining an impeccable customer experience and reinforcing our position as market leader.
To achieve its goals, GOMECANO will keep innovating in order to improve the experience of its customers as well as that of its Gomecanists, while reinforcing its internal teams in order to prepare itself to absorb a double-digit annual growth and reach its ambitions.
The startup, alumni of the Moove Lab‘s 9th promotion, plans to establish strong synergies with Mobivia – which represents an ecosystem of players in today’s and tomorrow’s mobility – such as the provision of spare parts or the provision of reciprocal leads.
This investment with the leader in on-site auto repair allows Via ID to position itself in this new segment of high value-added services. We were particularly attracted by the startup’s innovative approach, which changes the codes of car repair by offering a dematerialized on-site service.
